Version 9 is the new completely Web Services enabled BrokerEDI/PC E-Mail/EDI Engine. A fast web services connection to CSIOnet has replaced the Juniper Networks Network Connect 7.1.0 SSLVPN connection to CSIOnet.
The new Version 9.8 supports the CSIO My Proof of Insurance eDelivery solution which enables members to send digital policy documents for personal and commercial lines, including proof of auto insurance (eSlips) to consumers over email.
Installing an Update
1) Go to the
user’s PC that runs the daily download communications.
The latest update
is 9.8g, download updateEngine98g.exe saving it in your \Downloads older. This update only updates the new Version 9 CSIOnet Web Services enabled BrokerEDI/PC

a New Installation
1) Go to the user’s PC in the office that will be running the daily download communications.
Download setup.exe saving it in the \Downloads folder.
2) Download and print out Fast Install Steps.pdf and follow the steps for a new installation. You will need your CSIOnet ids from CSIO. You will also need a product serial number to install the BrokerEDI/PC E-Mail/EDI Engine, please contact Zycomp System Systems Limited sales at 1-877-774-9444.
eDocs Company Code Table Update (July 30, 2018)
Download updateEDocsCoCodeTable.exe and save it in the \EMAIL folder. Explore to the \EMAIL folder and find updateEDocsCoCodeTable.exe and double-click it to run the update. This update adds Usborne and Hibbert Mutual and North Blenheim Mutual.
CSIO Machine Address Mapping Table Update (November 10, 2017)
Download updateCSIOMachineAddressTable.exe and save it in the \EMAIL folder. Explore to the \EMAIL folder and find updateCSIOMachineAddressTable.exe and double-click it to run the update.

Update “9.8c” Version 9.8c is a must update that increases the timeout value waiting for CSIOnet to respond. Due to increased traffic at times, CSIOnet seems to slow down retrieving messages from its database.
“9.7” Version 9.7 has two major enhancements, the previous release had a limit
of reading only 500 messages in a mailbox, now it is unlimited. The other major enhancement is support for CSIO’s My Proof of Insurance eDelivery solution.
Update “9.6a” Version 9.6a is the same as 9.5f but with newer instructions for installing the open-source 7-ZIP file archiver program, please see ”HD0015 A Zipped Backup of Your Communications Session Download.pdf”
Update “9.5f” If CSIOnet errors out because it cannot handle a corrupt message, MASTERCOM now captures the “ HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error” message and instructs the broker to contact the CSIO Help Desk to remove the corrupt message.
Update “9.5e” If you have Economical as a carrier you need to install this update to alert you of invalid characters in document filenames. You then need to contact Economical to resend the document.
Update “9.5d” This updates the “Settings – CSIOnet” dialog with the hint to include “@broker.edi.csio.com” as part of the CSIOnet ID.
Update “9.5c” This update addresses problems when an XML special character such as & is used in an attachment file name.
Update “9.5b” The
mailbox was not read if the Region was not (Canada). The update now ignores the
system’s “Region and Language” setting for the date.
Update “9.5a” gives the user the option to have a zipped backup of every download communications session. To enable this option explore to the\EMAIL folder and find and run 7z1604-x64.exe to install the 7z zipped software in the default “C:\Program Files\7-Zip” folder. To disable this option explore to the “C:\Program Files\ 7-Zip” and run Uninstall.exe Note: With zipped backup you can restore Power Broker from a backup and rebuilt the database day by day from the zipped backup files. Also, if you are encountering problems processing a download you can send the zipped download to Power Broker Support to duplicate the problem.
Update “9.5” was required to avoid a lost download file if the Internet connection failed while receiving a policy or eDocs download file.
Version 9.0 Changes
The connection to CSIOnet is now instantaneous, no waiting for the Juniper
software to “dial-up” the SSLVPN connection and no need to install additional
software. The connection is a now a web services HTTPS secure connection.
2) The “2 - Settings – Main” now has the added options to “Read & Leave Download in Mailbox” and “Clear Out Mailbox. Please see below.
You now have the options
to restore a Policy download (“3-
Restore a Policy Download”) or eDocs download (“4-Restore an eDocs Policy Download”) from a communications session
zipped archive file.
4) Selecting the “6 - CSIO Company Code Mapping” program item, the eDocs Company Code– Machine Address mapping file (CoCodesMachAddr.csv) is now a user editable file where new company codes can be added.
